Marie Gimpel
Marie Gimpel studierte freie Kunst mit dem Schwerpunkt zeitgenössische Fotografie in Leipzig und schloss ihr Diplom 2017 mit Auszeichnung ab. Bereits während des Studiums begann sie, ihre ersten Bühnenbilder für Theater zu entwerfen. Für ihre Projekte an der Schnittstelle von Kunst und Theater wurde sie 2018–2019 in das Stipendienprogramm »Unseren Künsten« der Claussen-Simon-Stiftung Hamburg aufgenommen. Es folgten Aufträge als Bühnenbildnerin u. a. auf Kampnagel, bei der Ruhrtriennale, am Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Theater Oberhausen, am Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus sowie als Szenenbildnerin u.a. bei Julian Pörksens Debütfilm »WHATEVER HAPPENS NEXT«, der im Frühjahr 2018 bei der Berlinale Premiere feierte und anschließend in die deutschen Kinos kam.
Des Weiteren ist sie Teil des Theater- und Performance-Kollektivs »&sistig« und ist in weiteren feministischen Kontexten zu finden.

They intertwine to create a piece about decisions, doubts, (miscarriages) births, cancellations, transformations and courageous actions.
