MAKING THEATRE

The book accompanying the exhibition at the German Theatre Museum

Theatre is teamwork – on stage, in front of the stage and behind the scenes. The book takes a look behind the scenes of theatre production and shows how theatre is created, from the initial idea to the premiere. For the German Theatre Museum's exhibition «making THEATRE», the DTM accompanied theatre professionals from Munich's Residenztheater during the 2024/2025 season as they worked on their production of «Romeo and Juliet». This resulted in unique and multifaceted insights into the protected space of everyday theatre life.
