Best friends

Founded in 1976, the association FREUNDE* DES RESIDENZTHEATERS has been supporting the «Resi» for almost fifty years.

The members of the Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees work on a voluntary basis and in accordance with the association's statutory objectives. The association currently has around 600 members who are enthusiastically committed to «their Resi».

• We collect and administer membership fees, sponsorship contributions and donations to support extraordinary projects, children's and youth productions and the KlassenKasse (RESI FÜR ALLE) as well as project series such as WELT/BÜHNE as a platform for international contemporary drama.
• We grant scholarships for drama students at the Theaterakademie August Everding.
• Every year, we award the renowned Kurt Meisel Prize and sponsorship prizes to outstanding actors at a festive matinee.
• We meet actors, experience background discussions and rehearsals and receive exclusive behind-the-scenes tours, special events and privileged cultural and theater trips.
• We get a 20% discount on ticket purchases from 7 days before the performance and enjoy advance ticket sales one day earlier!
