Residenztheater
Seating plan as text
The auditorium of the Residenztheater is divided into the following sections:
- Stalls (Rows a–b): Category 1 – the seats closest to the stage. Due to production requirements, these seats are not always available.
- Stalls (Rows 1–19): Rows 1–2: Seating Group 1
- Rows 3–6: Seating Group 2
- Rows 7–11: Seating Group 3
- Rows 12–15: Seating Group 4
- Row 16: Seating Group 4, with wheelchair spaces and companion seats (seats 441/442) on the far right and far left respectively
- Row 17: Seating Group 5, with wheelchair spaces and companion seats (seats 465/466) on the far right and far left respectively
- Rows 18–19: Seating group 5
- Balcony centre (rows 1–5): Rows 1–2 seating group 2, rows 3–4 seating group 3, row 5 seating group 4.
- Gallery (rows 1–4): Rows 1–2 seating group 6, rows 3–4 seating group 7.
- Left balcony (rows 1–3): row 1 seating group 3–4, row 2 seating group 4–5, row 3 seating group 4.
- Right balcony (rows 1–3): mirror image of the left balcony.

Cuvilliés Theatre

The auditorium of the Cuvilliés Theatre is divided into the following sections:
- The Stalls, comprising rows A to D at the front of the auditorium, with seats in categories 1 and 2. These are the seats closest to the stage. Behind these are rows 1 to 12, comprising mainly seats in categories 2 and 3.
- Parterre boxes to the left and right of the stalls. These are predominantly seats in categories 2 to 4.
- First gallery above the parterre boxes. These are seats in categories 2 and 3.
- Central box in the centre of the 1st gallery. The front rows here contain seats in seating groups 1, whilst the rear row contains seats in seating group 3.
- 2nd gallery above the 1st gallery. The centre contains seats in seating group 3, with seating group 4 towards the sides.
- 3rd gallery above the 2nd gallery. Seats for seating groups 4 and 5 are in the centre, and for seating group 6 in the side sections.
- Additional seats are marked in the upper section of the seating plan and are not always available.
- The seats are arranged in a horseshoe shape around the stage. Particularly in the side boxes in the stalls and in the tiers, some audience members sit at a steeper angle to the stage, which means that the view may vary depending on the seat.
- Wheelchair spaces in the stalls are located in row 12, on the far right and far left.
The more affordable seats are mainly located in the side and upper sections of the auditorium. Please refer to the price table below the seating plan for prices by seating group and price category.

Marstall
Seating plan as text
The auditorium in the Marstall is divided into seven rows in front of the stage.
- Row 1 is directly in front of the stage and comprises the front-row seats.
- Behind this are rows 2 to 7, which are accessed via steps.
- The seats are arranged in straight rows.
- Wheelchair spaces are located at the far right and far left of the first row.

Reductions
There is a Theatre Day several times during the season. On this day, you only pay 18/12 euros for all seats in the Residenztheater and Cuvilliéstheater and 18 euros in the Marstall. The respective shows are marked as «Theatre Day» in the schedule.
To the scheduleIf you buy full-price tickets for four performances within a season using your customer number, you will receive a 20% discount on the regular admission price of up to two tickets for each additional performance from the Residenztheater repertoire (excluding premieres, guest performances and special events).
Once you have received the activation email, you can book discounted tickets by phone, online or at the box office. Please mention your ResiCard to the member of staff on the phone or at the box office. When booking online, simply enter your customer number.
Pupils, students, trainees and volunteers up to the age of 30 can purchase discounted tickets for 10 euros in advance (in the webshop, by telephone and at the box office) and at the evening box office. The discount authorisation must be shown together with the ticket on admission. Tickets are available in seating groups 4-7, from 14 days before the performance in all seating groups.
München-Pass holders can purchase tickets for 10 euros from approx. 30 minutes before the start of the show, subject to availability.
Persons with disabilities receive the same discounts at all Bavarian State Theatres on presentation of the relevant ID. In order to be eligible for these discounts, the severely disabled person's ID card must bear the EB, Bl, VB or B mark. For people with a B on their disabled pass, the accompanying person receives a 100% discount, while the regular price applies to the pass holder. Reduced subscriptions can be ordered in writing with a copy of the disabled person's ID card from the Bavarian State Theatre subscription office.
Wheelchair users
Wheelchair users receive free admission (note in the ID card usually B and aG). The seat for the accompanying person is available at a 50% discount.
Wheelchair users: Performances at the Marstall
Wheelchair users and their companions are requested to register at the theatre box office at least two days before the performance so that the designated wheelchair and companion seats can be organised in good time and set up in accordance with safety standards, provided they are not already sold out.
Visually impaired
Visually impaired persons and their companion each receive a 50% discount on the regular price.
Severely war-disabled persons
Severely war-disabled persons with the EB or VB mark and their accompanying person each receive a 50% discount on the regular ticket price.
Hearing impaired
Visitors with analogue hearing aids, digital hearing systems and Cholea implants with a T-coil can borrow mobile radio receivers from the information desk in the lower right foyer. Radio receivers with integrated headphones are available for hearing-impaired visitors without hearing aids. Both devices can be borrowed for a deposit of 10 euros or a valid ID document. The deposit will be returned when the radio receiver is returned. If you have any questions, our admission staff will be happy to help you at the lending desk.
Some performances are subtitled in English.

On-site orientation
The accessible entrance to the Residenztheater is located on the right-hand side of the main entrance on Max-Joseph-Platz. A ramp with an 11 per cent gradient and a door opener lead into the building.
There are designated wheelchair spaces in the auditorium. An induction loop system is available in the stalls. Wireless headphones can be borrowed from the cloakrooms.
The accessible toilet with an emergency alarm is located in the entrance area near the cloakrooms on the right-hand side of the stalls.

On-site orientation
The accessible entrance to the Marstall is located at the main entrance on Marstallplatz and is step-free. In the entrance area, ramps with a 4 per cent gradient lead into the foyer and from there into the auditorium.
The accessible toilet with an emergency alarm is located on the left-hand side of the foyer.
Wheelchair spaces may vary depending on the seating arrangement and are usually located in the front row, on the far right and far left. Accessible car parking spaces are available on Marstallplatz, in the immediate vicinity of the entrance.
