Tickets

Advance tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on the 1st of each month for the following month. If the 1st happens to fall on a Sunday or public holiday, then tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. the day before. Tickets can be bought online (residenztheater.de/en), by phone (MON–SAT 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on +49 89 2185 1940) and at the daytime (Marstallplatz 5, 80539 München, MON–SAT 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.) and evening box offices. The evening box office opens at each venue one hour before the performance. Your theatre ticket is also valid for travel on the MVV.

The Residenztheater produces performances in German only – however, some of these are shown with English surtitles. Please indicate at the box office whether you would like a seat with surtitles visible when purchasing a ticket. You can also buy your ticket online. For the best view of the surtitles in the Residenztheater, we recommend the seats in the stalls from row 10 to row 16, especially in the middle. The seats in the central section of the «Balkon» and in every row of the «Rang» are also recommended.

Your season ticket or your admission ticket, insofar as MVV use is permitted on the ticket front, entitles you to travel on all MVV transport within the entire MVV network from 3 pm on the day of the performance until 6 am the following day. Valid from three hours before the performance if the performance begins before 6 pm.
