Mariam Megvinyte
Mariam Megvinyte is a Georgian writer, playwright, editor-in-chief as well as co-founder and head of the Theatre Company Haraki.
The Theatre Company Haraki was founded in Georgia in 2019. As its head, Mariam Megvinyte has successfully realised several productions. Her works include an adaptation of «Hamlet» for Sandro Kalandadze and the impressive solo theatre piece «HA!», which deals with the profound abysses of human existence and questions of justice, guilt and the moral paradoxes of our time.
In 2021, she founded the academic, annual, bilingual and interdisciplinary journal «De:Nostalgia». As editor-in-chief and author, she regularly publishes articles in this journal that deal primarily with political, cultural and philosophical phenomena.
At the WELT/BÜHNE - Festival 2025, she will present her play «HA!» in a reading followed by a discussion.
