Alexandra Paál
Alexandra Paal, geboren 1997, arbeitet als freiberufliche Tänzerin und Choreografin in München. Nachdem sie ihren Bachelor of Contemporary Dance an der London Contemporary Dance School erhalten hat, ist sie zurück in ihre Heimat München gezogen, um hier am NIMBLE Projekt mit Eldad Ben Sasson, Zoe Gyssler und Moritz Ostruschnjak zu arbeiten.
Außerdem tanzte sie für mariksicrycrycry, Saju Hari und Leila McMillan im Robin Howard Dance Theatre, The Place London. Geprägt von den Zusammenarbeiten mit Künstler*innen aus verschiedenen Fachbereichen umfasst ihre eigene Praxis sowohl Bewegung als auch Design, Film, bildende Kunst und Text.
Als freischaffende Tänzerin in München war sie in Arbeiten von Joan Jonas, Martino Gamper und Franz Erhard Walther im Haus de Kunst zu sehen sowie in «My Labyrinth» von Lee Mingweii in der Villa Stuck.
In der Produktion K/PPEN des Theaterkollektivs Futur.X war sie sowohl als Choreografin als auch Performerin tätig.
Als Stipendiatin 2022 des «ATLAS Programms» des ImpulsTanz Festivals in Wien konnte sie ihre eigene choreografische Arbeit vertiefen und mit Unterstützung von Elio Gervasi und Angelique Wilkie an ihrer aktuellen Recherche weiterarbeiten. Zuletzt konnte sie im Rahmen des HIER=JETZT Festivals ihre eigene Choreografie «stream» im Schwere Reiter Theater in München präsentieren.

One stormy night in 1836, Hans Christian Andersen arrives uninvited at the home of his childhood friend Edvard Collin, who is to marry his fiancée Henriette the next day. Andersen has travelled through the wind and the rain to once again confess his love for Edvard. The family provide a frosty reception and the groom himself is out celebrating his last night as a bachelor. Only Henriette feels attracted to the unconventional charm of their guest, who lives in a fantasy world continually surrounded by characters from his own fairy tales. He magically transforms a sober room into a sparkling underwater landscape and castles of otherworldly beauty. And he starts telling his friend’s fiancée the fairy tale of The Little Mermaid: burning with love for a Prince, she wishes to become human and is willing to sacrifice her voice and her home to do so – risking her life.
